Single-Tooth Dental Implants

A single-tooth implant is a long-term, multi-step solution designed to replicate the natural structure and function of a missing tooth.

The process typically begins with the extraction of the damaged tooth. A bone graft is often placed into the socket to help preserve bone volume and structure. The area then heals for approximately 2 to 3 months, creating a stable foundation for the placement of a titanium implant post.

Once the implant is placed, an additional 2 to 3 months of healing is generally needed for the implant to integrate with the jawbone through a natural process called osseointegration. After healing is complete, a custom implant crown is fabricated and attached, restoring the appearance and function of your natural tooth.

Patient safety is always our priority. If your evaluation reveals insufficient bone, limited space near the sinus cavity, or close proximity to a nerve, we may refer you to a trusted specialist for implant placement to ensure you receive the appropriate level of care.

Implant-Supported Dentures

For patients experiencing loose or shifting dentures, implant-supported dentures can provide greater stability, comfort, and confidence.

This treatment involves placing several strategically positioned dental implants into the jawbone to help securely support a denture. Following any necessary extractions and initial healing, the implants are placed and typically require 2 to 3 months to integrate with the surrounding bone.

Once healing is complete, special attachments and housings are incorporated into a newly fabricated denture, allowing it to snap securely into place. This added stability helps reduce movement while eating and speaking.

In most cases, the new denture includes a metal substructure to reinforce the denture base and reduce the risk of cracking or breaking.

As with single-tooth implants, sufficient bone support is essential. If your evaluation reveals inadequate bone volume, we may refer you to a trusted specialist to explore advanced bone grafting options before proceeding.
